Meals on wheels

At least twice a day, women riding a three wheeler bike stop by the ship’s gangway (shore ladder leading to the ship). On the back of the bike is a cart filled with buckets and barrels of food and water. Rice is scooped into bowls and a fatty/veggy gravy is laddled onto the sticky rice. These meals are prepared for the painting sub-contractors. Once served, the workers either sit on their hard hats or on slabs of steel. They don’t eat, they inhale their food. This gives them enough time to enjoy a siesta before going back to work…The pictures speak for themselves…
