...on the road again...

I spent the pas couple of days at the other shipyard where I got to initiate the cutting machine to symbolize commencement of fabrication of the vessel. There was a mini-ceremony with photographers and all…

Yesterday, I was given a lunch that didn’t sit well with me at all. It was fish head and rice. I didn’t even touch the fish so I stuffed myself with rice and I must have of overdosed ‘cause I can’t swallow anything else since then. In the afternoon, I decided to walk around the hotel. I made my way to the center of town where there is a pedestrian plaza with shops and bronze sculptures. It’s actually a nice area to walk around. Then, I saw a kid squatting.. He must have been around 18 months. The back of his pants was split open and his butt was exposed. He was taking a dump! There, in the plaza. A cleaning lady swept it up with a broom and then dumped it into a garbage bin. I simply couldn’t believe it…The funny thing is that none of the passer-bys even took note of it. Most of them were too busy staring at me.
To my great delight last night, I also saw a guy and his girlfriend on a scooter bike ~ and standing on the food platform between both of them was a small dog going for a ride.
Back at the hotel, I decided to play a CD that I bought that day. When I saw it at the store, I couldn’t resist buying it because of the title. It read: “Shacking up to Chopin” with a label that read “Parent Advisory, Adult Content”. Too curious, I plop it into my PC and listen to the beautiful Chopin. And that’s all of what the CD was. A series of compositions from Chopin. No lyrics, no nothing else… Now I’m stuck with a lame looking CD cover that makes me look like a perve instead of seeming intellectual with a classical music collection…oh well…

As usual, I’m now in a car, being driven back to Shanghai. My driver has good reflexes (thank god) but is quite the casse-cou. He drives at speeds of up to 160 km/h while passing on the service shoulder. I took a picture from the car while passing on the right. Last time he gave me a ride, I didn’t allow him to smoke in the car. He must have been so eager to smoke that we were doing 170km/h. He actually was inhaling his unlit cig. and rubbing it under his nose…

Well, I wish to end my blog today with a quick note to say to my twin sister Val: Bonne Fete !!!
