Back at the "ollo"

As I look up and out the window, I realize how the landscape has so drastically changed. The trees are barren and there is some snow here and there. This scenery tells the story of how this is still a developing country. Sites filled with garbage, mountains deforested, trucks overfilled, ladies sweeping debris with twig brooms along the high way, power plants spewing grey toxins out their chimneys…it does make me wonder if Kyoto should make an exception and hold this country more accountable in reducing GHG emissions…mais bon, I must be PMSsing. News reports are showing that more and more young children are suffering from asthma… no wonder why.

On that cheery note, I’m soon arriving at the “ollo”… will try to write more frequently now that I won’t be traveling as much…
