A bit of a change
I’m now settling into the new apartment. Most of the larger furniture is in and only missing a few things such as a coffee table and some sheets for the guest room. If only it was that easy however…. Sigh…
The renovating company that poured the floors and put in the drains did an absolute terrible job in the apartment. There is now toilet water leaking downstairs into the neighbors apartment, the bathtub is slanted so that the water runs out of the bath instead of into the bath and all of the bathroom drains are mounted higher than the rest of the floor and so the water runs under the door and out of the bathroom…So now, we have a new ‘renovating company trying to sort out the mess that the first one made. We have already discovered that they had used a beer bottle to wedge the piping for the bath. So now, the main bathroom is ‘out of service’ until the leaky water problem is fixed. I therefore take a shower in the guest shower room which is basically a closet with a toilet and a douche telephone on the wall… and water running out of the bathroom… To keep the water mess from getting out of hand, I had to wash my hair over the toilet bowl..and squeegee thee rest of the water up-hill and push it unto the drain… Arrggg… And Rox is staying at home to watch over these incompetent arses who don’t peak any ingalish at all.…things are so much easier at the hotel!!!
Not that I should be terribly surprised but I have found that I am unable to access my blog from a Chinese computer and several times, I can’t even access it from home or the office either…It does feel like Big Brother is trying to keep the locals out of many areas of the word.
Looking outside, the sweepers are out doing their spring cleaning. You would think that they would use big mechanical sweepers. Instead, older ladies with brooms made of twigs sweep along the highways and main roads. And then passes an overfilled truck that hits a bump and spills rubbish back onto the road. This is why I’d never want to ride a motorbike here. The roads are beautiful and flat but there is often so much garbage that falls that it’s really very dangerous.
The water is calm, this morning. The sun is bright. I hope that it will be a nice day today.
I added a picture of my ride to and from the yard. It sounds classy to say that I have a chauffeur but it’s not quite the posh life. We also do a route and pick-up several people up in the morning.
