on the road again...

Am finally back in the car…Rox and I are being driven to our “ollo” ~ the hole. This is the new name given to the area we live in near the shipyard…

We were in hot and humid Singapore last week. I was attending a congress there and we took this opportunity to disconnect from China and soak-in some western food / well actually, we ate Indian food most of the time we were there… Had to stock-up on curries and pakoras! The week was great as having lived there for three months, I knew exactly where I wanted to go and how to get there. We went to the night safari which was a delight to see again. Unfortunately, you can’t use the camera’s flash so there aren’t any good pictures of this to show. I have, however, added a picture of Orchard Rd. where you can literally overdose on shopping. We had two weekends to shop around and hunt for some good deals. We used the hotel’s outdoor pool in the evenings … ahhh… it was such a good way to escape the project for a few days… During the congress, I met hundreds of fellow PMPs ~ some expats living in Thailand, Japan and S’Pore and some Aussies also. I was hoping that rubbing elbows with others would help re-charge my batteries ~ I think that the warm +30 degC weather did a better job at that. I hope that this winter will end soon!
