Honk if you’re a bee

On the same theme, let me describe the taxi phenomena. Taxis around here are quite cheap (down-town Montreal to Dorval airport (ok ok, Trudeau) would cost $8. They aren’t spacious nor clean, but they get you from A to B. In the evening, taxis are everywhere…and they are all free for hire… So, as you go merrily walking down a street to explore some area of town you have never been to, you become the attraction of every taxi looking to take you for a ride! If they spot you, they slow down…doesn’t matter if they block traffic behind them… and because they want to get your attention, they honk. And if you ignore them, they persist and honk some more… Arrg~ like bees during an epluchette de ble-d’inde, they’re annoying but there’s not much you can do about it….
